Job Description:

This is an exciting temporary opportunity to work as a Senior Engineer (Civil) in Transport and Main Roads within the Northern district. Main Responsibilities:

  • Project manage the delivery of multiple road infrastructure projects through provision of technical expertise and administration of contracts and support to design, construction and maintenance processes.
  • Support and advise on planning and design process to ensure delivery of project outcomes, value for money and best practice are achieved.
  • Undertake tendering and estimating activities to support effective development and delivery of road infrastructure projects.
  • Maintain and apply all relevant standards, policies, guidelines and legislative requirements necessary for design and construction of road infrastructure projects.
  • Ensure quality management procedures are adhered to facilitate delivery of road projects to high and consistent standard for both Transport and Main Roads and clients.
  • Manage and maintain effective liaison and communication with all levels of internal and external stakeholders on matters relating to transport infrastructure delivery activities.

Requirements:

  • A four-year, Washington Accord accredited, Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalence which is assessed/accepted by Engineers Australia against Washington Accord benchmarks.
  • Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) is mandatory for appointment to the position.
  • A current Class 'C' Drivers Licence.
  • Pre-employment checks, including criminal history screening and declaration of serious discipline history will be required to be completed.
  • Must be eligible to work in Australia.
