Cloud Solutions Architect

We are a customer-centric, digitally empowered retailer.

Our teams work with cutting-edge tech such as AI/machine learning, IoT, cloud-first solutions, 3D virtual reality product checks, and human-sized robots to drive efficiency and innovation across our supply chain operations.

We aim to modernise and optimise our warehouse management, transport/logistics, inventory optimisation, and demand forecasting systems to ensure faster delivery of products across nearly 500 stores in Australia and New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Designing and implementing scalable AWS-based solutions that meet business needs and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional technology teams to align merchandise and inventory solutions with broader strategic goals.
  • Working with project managers to prioritise initiatives in planning cycles and drive successful outcomes.
  • Leading technical innovation in merchandise and inventory systems, guiding the team towards adaptable and future-proof solutions.
  • Translating technical concepts into business language to facilitate effective communication between technical teams and business stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience designing and implementing cloud solutions on AWS, with examples of success in scalability and performance improvements.
  • Knowledge of retail and data-intensive systems, understanding technological challenges and opportunities in this space.
  • Experience with event streaming technologies used in critical business decision systems.
  • Ability to design solutions aligned with long-term business goals and drive business value through technology.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with examples of effective cross-team engagement and AWS integration.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills, especially in legacy migration challenges, with creative solutions for cloud transition.
  • Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
