Role Summary

We are seeking a talented Associate Producer to join our News team. The successful candidate will have advanced production skills and be responsible for producing high-quality content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Line up and output the flagship 7pm NSW news bulletin.
  • Write and produce video stories and explainers using creative storytelling techniques.
  • Work with journalists as a story producer to develop and sub edit content for all platforms.
  • Collaborate with newsroom leadership to produce stories for State and Network News with context and depth.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience as a TV/video producer in a busy newsroom environment.
  • Experience writing for broadcast outlets.
  • Advanced knowledge of television news production, including bulletin line-up and on-air production needs.
  • High proficiency with relevant software production systems and reporting tools.
  • Sophisticated teamwork, communication, interpersonal and time management skills for a busy newsroom.
  • Experience guiding others in a fast-paced newsroom with continuous deadlines.
