A Day in the Role:
As a Stable Attendant, you will play an integral part of the stables team, working with some of the best Arabian horses in the country. Daily tasks may include:
- Assisting in maintaining stables for the horses, including feeding, cleaning, and shovelling out pens.
- Assisting with equipment management and cleanliness.
- Preparing horses for groups and trail rides.
- Accompanying guests and customers on tours and in lessons.
- Engaging with community groups, including children and adults with disabilities and disadvantaged youth.
What You'll Bring:
A positive attitude and flexibility are key to your success. As a Stable Attendant, you'll have a strong foundation for us to build on with you, including:
- Extensive experience in handling and riding horses, with knowledge of horse care, grooming, and health.
- Understanding of loading and unloading horse transport and equipment.
- Knowledge of equipment maintenance to a high standard along with cleanliness.
- High standards of stable presentation and cleanliness.
- Strong assurance and knowledge of safety for guests, with a passion for providing excellent customer service and experience.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills with a strong desire to learn.
- Ability to work shifts across a 7-day week roster, including weekends, and willingness to be flexible on start and end times for business requirements.
- Full Driver's License (or provisional), and a Working with Vulnerable People Check (or able to obtain).
