Job Opportunity Overview
JPS Medical is seeking a highly skilled Medical Specialist to join our team as a Staff Specialist / Consultant in General Medicine. This is a permanent full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment.
The Location
This role is based in a 160-bed facility that serves as the principal referral centre for the North West Tasmanian community. The facility has a well-developed infrastructure and a vibrant shopping district that offers a range of amenities and services.
The Facility
The ICU is an 8-bed Level 2 ICU, and the general case mix of patients may include trauma patients, sepsis and multi-system failure, post-operative complications, unstable angina/AMI, cardiac failure / arrhythmias, and respiratory failure.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Registration with AHPRA or eligibility for registration
- At least 12 months recent experience in Internal / General Medicine
- On RACP training program or hold the FRACP
- Competent Authority Pathway eligibility for IMGs from the UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, NZ
- IMGs with RACP interview date or assessed and found to be substantially comparable
