About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our team at Energy Queensland. As a Construction Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of large construction-based infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the infield delivery of works through Yurika's delivery partners, ensuring milestones are achieved while maintaining a high standard of quality, safety, and customer service throughout the life of the project.
  • Contribute to the construction of renewable projects involving large-scale substations and/or transmission powerlines up to 330kV.
  • Provide expert advice on the sourcing and provision of construction solutions, overseeing all construction activities, including scheduling, and planning of site-based resources while ensuring compliance with regulations and EQL standards, and maintaining site safety.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Queensland Electrical Licensing Board Certificate of Competency (or other Australian state/territory equivalent) as an Electrical Tradesperson.
  • A current 'C' class open Drivers Licence.
  • A General Construction induction card (white card).
  • Safe Work at Heights, CPR & LVR certifications or the ability to obtain.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • High level communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Over 10 years in construction, including 5 years in a site leadership role.
