We are seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our team on a full-time basis, working onsite in the CBD of Sydney. You will be part of a dynamic and fast-paced environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, build, and roll-out products that deliver the company's vision and strategy.

The salary for this role will be between $80,000.00 and $100,000.00 per annum, depending on experience.

Technical Requirements

We require a skilled software developer with expertise in:

  • Java frameworks - Spring (Core, MVC, Boot), Struts, JPA/Hibernate, Java 7+
  • Microservices experience
  • AWS or Azure
  • React JS
  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Java Enterprise Edition (JEE) Skills - Web service design & development, API (SOAP, REST, Messaging), JSP (Java Server Pages)
  • Web Development - HTML (Hypertext Markup Language), JavaScript
  • Vendor products - WebSphere Application Server (WAS)
  • Build & automation tools - Maven, Jenkins
  • Testing tools - Selenium, JUnit
  • Source control tools – GitHub
  • CI/CD - Jenkins, Docker
Responsibilities

As a Senior Software Developer, you will be responsible for:

  • Contributing to daily standups, card kick-offs, walkthroughs, and showcases
  • Developing a quality and maintainable code base, which will be unit tested against acceptance criteria
  • Maintaining a 'green build light' for the project's continuous integration builds and reacting quickly to build failures
  • Liaising with the business and testers on technical design decisions
  • Completing story development as per prioritised Jira backlog
  • Creating and maintaining documentation on code and design decisions
Requirements

We require:

  • Bachelor degree in IT preferred
  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar role
  • Extensive experience as an Analyst Programmer
  • Excellent communication skills
