Senior Underwriter

We are seeking an experienced Financial Lines Underwriter to join our team in Auckland. As a key member of our Financial Lines/Casualty team, you will be responsible for underwriting complex risk business in accordance with our business plan and guidelines.

• Underwrite complex risk business in accordance with the business plan, guidelines within individual earned or delegated underwriting authority.
• Coach team members in order to achieve or exceed service standards and operational targets in the region.
• Contribute to the overall strategy, planning and execution of policies, product plan and outcomes of complex portfolio balance.

We are looking for a team player who enjoys collaborating and supporting their colleagues but also values autonomy and being empowered to make their own decisions. You will have experience in financial lines/casualty and be an effective business partner, experienced in engaging with senior members of Insurance Brokers & with customer presentations.

You will also demonstrate complex analytical and research skills with ability to use risk profiling, pricing tools & loss models.
