
Lead Mental Health Practitioner

The Senior Mental Health Clinician plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional mental health care within our integrated, recovery-oriented Local Service for Greater Geelong and Queenscliffe.
Key Responsibilities:- Mental Health Assessments and Consultations: Provide comprehensive mental health assessments and consultations to consumers and their families, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
- Leadership and Operations Management: Exhibit leadership in the continuous development of the Locals service, managing day-to-day operations and overseeing team performance.
- Clinical Supervision: Offer clinical and line management supervision for clinical staff within the Locals Service, fostering a culture of excellence and growth.
- Collaboration and Data Reporting: Facilitate effective collaboration within the Consortium partnership, contributing actively to data reporting, service development, quality improvement, and evaluation for the Locals Services.
This position requires working on a rotating roster with availability for after-hours and weekend duties, promoting a flexible and responsive service delivery model.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- Comprehensive Mental Health Knowledge: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of mental health principles, theories, and best practices.
- Leadership and Management Skills: Showcase exceptional leadership and management abilities, driving service improvement and excellence.
- Clinical Expertise: Possess advanced clinical skills, with experience in mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration and teamwork.
