Head of Banking and Finance

We are looking for a distinguished academic professional to lead our team as Head of the Department of Banking and Finance.
About the Position- The successful candidate will possess a doctoral qualification or equivalent accreditation, recognised as a leading authority in Banking and Finance.
- They will bring extensive experience in academic leadership and departmental management, demonstrating strategic planning capabilities.
- A strong research profile in Banking and Finance is essential, evidenced by high-impact publications and sustained scholarly engagement.
The appointed candidate will contribute significantly to the academic community, maintain and broaden collaborative partnerships with external agencies both nationally and internationally, and ensure the Department's compliance with University policies and legal obligations.
Main Responsibilities- Cultivate a high-performing academic team.
- Participate in curriculum development, academic governance, and quality assurance processes.
- Maintain a strong research profile aligned with the Faculty's strategic priorities.
- Expand the Faculty's Higher Degree by Research program by attracting top-tier candidates and building robust internal and external partnerships.
This role requires exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to mentor staff, collaborate effectively with academic peers, and represent the department across faculty committees.
