Seeking a dedicated and experienced clinician to join our team as a Senior Clinician in the development and operation of a statewide tertiary clinical consultation and liaison service.

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical knowledge in Old Age Psychiatry, experience working with Behavioural and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia (BPSD), and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

We are looking for a team player who can travel across various Local Health District Regions and provide consultative services to NSW public inpatient services.

The successful applicant will be a member of the FRANZCP, holding a Certificate in Old Age Psychiatry, and have experience working with and providing clinical consultation/liaison to services caring for people with BPSD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in planning and service development to improve patient outcomes
  • Work with patients experiencing extreme BPSD, providing tertiary level consultative services
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective care plans
  • Travel across various Local Health District Regions to provide team-based CL services within inpatient settings
Requirements
  • Registration with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent
  • Certificate in Old Age Psychiatry
  • Ability to travel and provide CL services in inpatient settings
  • Sound knowledge of principles of Recovery based clinical practice and integrated Mental Health Care
