About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our team as a Project Leader, focusing on Land Development projects. As a key member of our team, you will lead and deliver discrete packages of work independently and collaboratively with the team.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage projects including resourcing, scheduling, cash flow, and preparing project budgets.
  2. Lead and deliver projects independently and collaboratively with the team.
  3. Prepare design sketches and details for drafting by technical staff, and oversee the design development and documentation.
  4. Liaise with and coordinate various stakeholders, including clients, local government, and authorities.
  5. Meet client expectations of projects being delivered on time and with a high degree of accuracy.
  6. Identify issues and problems, develop solutions, and ask for assistance when required.
  7. Undertake quality reviews for deliverables produced.
  8. Gather data and evidence to prepare engineering studies, analysis, and calculations, including technical reports and specifications.
  9. Attend site for inspections.

Requirements

  1. Tertiary level qualifications in Civil Engineering.
  2. 5 years plus experience in a consulting environment with relevant land development, civil servicing, and infrastructure industry experience.
  3. Chartered status with Engineers Australia is beneficial but not essential.
  4. Strong communication and liaison abilities to engage with clients, contractors, agencies, and team members.
  5. Ability to deal with multiple stakeholders, managing and maintaining client relationships.
  6. Ability to work accurately and efficiently within a busy client-focused team.
  7. Strong practical understanding, proactive high-level thinking, and high attention to detail.
  8. Familiarity with software such as AutoCAD and 12D is beneficial but not essential.
  9. Self-motivation, ability to work autonomously, and focus on delivery and service.
  10. Team player willing to pitch in and help to get the work done.
