About the Role
Laing O'Rourke is seeking a seasoned Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) expert to join our Eastern Freeway Burke to Tram Alliance project in Melbourne. This exciting opportunity allows you to contribute to the largest ever investment in Melbourne's Eastern Freeway network, promoting 'best for project' outcomes through effective health and safety management.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively address HSE concerns by engaging with personnel performing tasks or activities.
- Supervise and mentor accident investigations up to Potential Class 1.
- Conduct risk assessment workshops to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards and promote a culture of safety awareness among team members.
- Regularly monitor and conduct HSE governance checks to maintain a safe working environment.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses to prevent reoccurrence.
- Develop and deliver toolbox talks and inductions to enhance safety knowledge.
About You
- Certificate IV in OHS or equivalent experience with a proven track record in Tier 1 environments.
- Excellent reports and systems knowledge with proficiency in utilizing technology.
- ICAM, RRTWC, and RIW certifications are preferred but not mandatory.
- Hands-on experience in assisting supervision and management with HSE issue closeout within the workplace.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, plus industry-leading benefits, including:
