At the Future of Life Institute, we're seeking a skilled Editor to join our team in shaping and producing high-quality written content. This role plays a crucial part in driving awareness and understanding of life-critical issues surrounding advanced AI.

Job Description

As an Editor, you'll be responsible for:

  • Developing compelling written content that delivers maximum impact, including op-eds, blog posts, website copy, and press releases.
  • Editing scripts and storyboards to produce engaging and informative content across all our platforms.
  • Collaborating with our communications team and leadership to generate and refine new content ideas that drive awareness and understanding of life-critical issues.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • A strong background in journalism, editing, or screenwriting, with a proven flair for communicating complex issues in a clear and evocative manner.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences and stakeholder groups.
  • Experience working on large-scale media campaigns, from conception to distribution.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • An undergraduate degree or higher.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Relevant experience in journalism, editing, or related fields.
