Job Title: Therapeutic Residential Care WorkerRole Overview

This position involves working closely with children and young individuals to develop nurturing relationships, helping each child manage their trauma-based responses, and promoting healing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build positive relationships with children and young people.
  • Assist children in managing trauma-based responses and promote healing.
  • Collaborate with the therapeutic team to support children's emotional, physical, psychological, and cultural development.
  • Provide therapeutic parenting to children who have been traumatized.
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Hold a Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or be willing to undertake study as part of the employment agreement.
  • Have awareness and appreciation of Aboriginal societies and cultures.
  • Hold a valid Police Check and Working with Children's Check (paid employee) or be willing to obtain.
  • Be up-to-date with COVID-19 vaccination.
