Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team at Public Sector People. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for leading strategic procurement projects and providing expert procurement services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic procurement projects in partnership with key stakeholders, ensuring compliance with risk management, probity, and transparency standards.
  • Provide expert procurement services and advice, including procurement planning, development of sourcing documents, managing release and evaluation processes, contract negotiation, contract management, and effective category management.
  • Oversee and ensure adherence to financial, contract management, and procurement systems, following the department's policies, procedures, and QLD State Government Procurement Policy.
  • Collaborate with Contract Managers to administer contracts in alignment with the Queensland Government Contract Management Framework.
  • Engage in negotiations and consultations with both internal and external stakeholders to address procurement and contract-related matters, ensuring business needs are met within established timeframes.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in procurement and identifying opportunities to improve value delivery.
  • Knowledge and experience in contemporary procurement and category management practices, regulations, and delivering best-value quality customer services.
  • Experience using SAP is desirable.
  • CIPS or Queensland Government Procurement Certification is highly regarded.

About You:

You must have a strong background in procurement and a proven track record of delivering successful procurement projects. You should be able to work effectively in a team environment and have excellent communication and negotiation skills.
