Mental Health and Wellbeing Specialist

This position focuses on promoting and preventing mental health issues through assessment and implementation of relevant programs, approaches, and initiatives based on a broad understanding of school needs.
The Mental Health and Wellbeing Leader works collaboratively with the school community to:
- Promote a whole-school approach to mental health and wellbeing among students, staff, and families.
- Support teachers and staff to expand their capacity to embed evidence-based mental health strategies and build mental health literacy for identifying and supporting students with mental health concerns.
- Collaborate with staff to inform and influence teaching and learning related to mental health and wellbeing. Provide support to staff and classroom teachers to develop capabilities in embedding mental health into the classroom.
- Work with leadership and wellbeing teams to embed whole-school approaches to mental health into school planning and strategic processes. Coordinate clear pathways for referrals and monitor student progress.
Key Responsibilities:
