We are currently seeking a skilled trades assistant to join our construction team in Mount Gambier, South Australia.

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and be self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills.

About the Role

As a Construction Labourer with Borg Manufacturing Pty Limited, you will play a crucial role in supporting our construction team by providing exceptional assistance on various projects.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting trade assistants and skilled workers with site preparation, earthworks, concrete, formwork, placing, and finishing tasks;
  • Digging trenches and laying pipework as required;
  • Ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail throughout all projects;
  • Maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to safety protocols and regulations;
  • Contributing to the overall success of our construction team by being proactive, flexible, and willing to take on additional tasks as needed.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • At least two years' experience within the construction industry;
  • Previous experience working as a trade assistant or in a similar capacity would be highly advantageous;
  • A General Construction Induction Card (White Card) and ability to obtain any necessary certifications;
  • Sound knowledge of earthworks, concrete, and formwork processes;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and rectify issues efficiently;
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines;
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
