About the Role

We are seeking an experienced NPI Engineer to join our DroneShield Tech Team in Sydney. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with the Design, Quality, and Production Teams to take product prototypes through to production.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain assembly documentation to ensure efficient production processes.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Team to develop and maintain production QC documentation.
  • Identify inefficiencies and automate production tasks using tools such as Python.
  • Work with suppliers to resolve part quality issues and implement supplier level QC processes.
  • Train production staff and contract manufacturers on correct assembly and testing procedures.
  • Communicate design changes to the Design Team and develop test jigs for DroneShield products.
Requirements
  • Experience in electronics assembly and testing of low volume, high complexity equipment.
  • Experience with RF equipment and testing preferred.
  • Degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, or relevant certification.
  • Excellent written and visual communication skills.
  • Ability to understand complex concepts and processes.
  • Experience writing instructional documentation.
  • Familiarity with Solidworks and Solidworks Composer.
  • Experience automating production processes through the use of Python.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Passionate about technology.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a fast-paced team.
  • Respect and appreciation of process, doing the right thing even if no-one is watching.
  • Strong ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and handle pressure.
  • Can-do attitude and willingness to help in a variety of tasks.
