About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Data Specialist to provide clinical administration and support for our Research and Evaluation Department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Verifying the accuracy and completeness of electronic patient care records, event registers, CAD data, ProQA data, hospital data, and patient follow-up data for entry into clinical registry databases (VACAR and VASQI)
  • Processing data from multiple sources into VACAR and VASQI to ensure timely reporting deadlines are met
  • Maintaining contemporary data entry records and quality control status to enable cross-validation of data
  • Providing input into design processes to improve the efficiency of the registries and contributing to weekly registry and R&E team huddles
About You

The ideal candidate will have a clinical qualification such as Nursing, Health Information, or Health Science. Other requirements include:

  • Demonstrated experience with clinical data entry, data cleaning, and manipulation
  • Demonstrated experience with databases, including some basic programming
  • A high level of data entry and keyboard skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to operate in an environment requiring teamwork, combined with the need to maintain confidentiality
  • Experience in the health sector, the university sector, or emergency services would be an advantage
  • The right to live and work in Australia
