About Us

You will be an integral part of a team delivering technical services, including repairs, maintenance, and other technology support services to ensure the safety and effectiveness of electronic and/or mechanical health technology equipment and systems.

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Biomedical Technician who can deliver routine technical services under general supervision. This includes installations, commissioning, repairs, and preventive maintenance. The successful candidate will also accurately document maintenance activities in relevant information systems and assist more senior practitioners with locally based resources.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Holds required licenses, certifications, and accreditations or is willing to obtain them within six months.
  • Has a 'C' class driver's license and is willing to drive Queensland Health vehicles as part of general duties.
  • Has knowledge and experience in electronic and/or mechanical technologies, general engineering, and other technologies associated with health technology equipment.
  • Is willing to provide guidance and support to students and less experienced practitioners.
  • Has high-level interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders/clients.
