As a Mechanical Engineer at BHP, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our assets. You will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to ensure that all aspects of the operation are running smoothly.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing technical guidance and support to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our assets;
- Developing and implementing solutions to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs;
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements;
- Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations and industry standards;
### Salary & Benefits ###
We offer a competitive salary package, estimated to be around $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a range of benefits, including flexible working options, a generous paid parental leave policy, other extended leave entitlements and parent rooms.
### Required Skills & Qualifications ###
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering with CPEng or RPEQ status advantageous;
- Solid understanding of Mechanical Engineering principles and previous exposure in Coal, mining or heavy industry;
- Experience as or working for a Mechanical Engineering Manager (MEM) is advantageous but not mandatory;
- Experience with Fire Systems is advantageous but not mandatory;
- Experience with brownfield equipment installations and In-service repair scope development;
- Demonstrated experience in providing technical input to design and project execution, with an overarching drive for safety leadership;
- Well-developed communication and engagement skills with an interest in providing technical leadership, stewardship, support and solutions;
