Industrial Designer Role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing new products, improving existing ones, and contributing to clever product ideas.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing new products
  • Improving existing products
  • Preparing technical literature and production drawings
  • Fabricating prototype parts

This role requires a creative and professional individual who can work closely with other designers and engineers, collaborating on innovative projects and contributing to the growth and development of our business.

Essential qualifications and skills include:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Industrial Design
  • Recent graduate and/or commercial industrial design experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organised, disciplined with proven creative problem-solving ability
  • Proficient in Autodesk Inventor or other CAD programs
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Competent in the use of general workshop equipment
  • Background or understanding of general engineering principles, although not essential, would be beneficial
  • An interest in DIY or building and construction would be beneficial
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and work to project timelines
