Senior Database Admin Infrastructure Engineer Opportunity

Our organization is seeking an experienced Senior Database Admin Infrastructure Engineer to join our team.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert guidance and technical support to colleagues and stakeholders, ensuring seamless database administration.
  • Schedule and manage database software installations and upgrades to maintain currency with supported environments.
  • Administer the database configuration, security, schema, and objects, ensuring compliance against agreed standards and guidelines.
  • Manage the data management process, including initial loading, creation, maintenance, and distribution of data.
  • Implement corrective actions to enhance performance and availability of databases.
  • Design and plan operational backup, archival, and recovery activities, as well as cyclical disaster recovery exercises.
  • Escalate unresolved system issues to appropriate vendors or stakeholders and manage these in accordance with agreed service level agreements to minimize user/system downtime.
  • Develop processes, security measures, standards, and best practices aimed at enhancing the availability, security, and performance of data assets.
  • Prepare and review corporate and technical documentation.
  • Develop data capability through coaching, mentoring, and succession planning to increase performance, engagement, and retention.
