We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Companion Care Worker to join our team at Right at Home. As a Companion Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities- Client Care: Provide companionship and support to clients, including accompanying them on walks, trips to social/recreational activities, and assistance with hobbies.
- Household Management: Perform general light cleaning duties, including vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linen, laundry, and cleaning bathrooms.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare meals and snacks for clients according to their instructions and dietary needs.
- Documentation: Accurately document services provided in client records and use our telephony system to communicate with the care team.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other members of the care team, ensuring confidentiality of client information.
- Training and Development: Maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills by attending in-service training sessions, particularly in relation to work health and safety.
- Experience: Previous experience in a care or support role is essential.
- Qualifications: Must have successfully completed a written competency evaluation and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Personal Qualities: A genuine care and empathetic attitude towards clients, with the ability to deal with the demands of the role.
