Cleaner Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and meticulous Cleaner to deliver exceptional cleaning services. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for ensuring all cleaning requirements are met each shift, interacting with residents in a friendly and positive manner, and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent cleaning services to meet our high standards.
  • Interact with residents in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks in resident rooms, common areas, offices, and other designated areas of the facility, following established cleaning protocols.
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic environment throughout the facility.
  • Report any maintenance issues or concerns to the relevant department for prompt resolution.
  • Adhere to infection control policies and procedures to minimize the risk of infection transmission.
  • Follow safe work practices and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Requirements

  • Previous cleaning experience in a commercial, healthcare, or aged care environment; or the willingness and motivation to learn.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment used in maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning protocols and schedules.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • A positive attitude and compassionate approach to elderly residents.
  • Understanding and adherence to infection control practices.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings if required.
