Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, coding, and supporting various web applications and services.

This role requires a deep understanding of RouteSmart products to ensure features are implemented accurately and effectively.

The Senior Software Engineer will contribute to the development of a suite of cross-platform routing systems that integrate advanced GIS and mapping capabilities with intuitive design and seamless navigation.

  • Lead and mentor other members of the development staff in coordination with the Lead Software Engineer.
  • Keep team up to date on the latest relevant development technologies.
  • Develop maintenance roadmaps for all development frameworks, libraries, and tools.
  • Write both DDL and DML SQL commands, functions, and scripts.
  • Full stack development: both client and server-side development skills are required.
  • Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code using software development best practices.
  • Demonstrate the ability to identify and fix errors in code.
  • Research new industry coding standards to improve the team's ability to create secure, high-quality, high-performance applications.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of relational databases (Postgres, MS SQL, etc.) and optimizing database queries.
  • Understanding of web application security, session management, and code development best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience with C# and .NET Core development using Visual Studio and other Microsoft development tools.
  • 10+ years minimum experience as a programmer writing both client and server-side components.
