Job Description: Senior Electrical Maintenance Technician

As a Senior Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for completing assigned repair and preventative maintenance work orders in a safe, timely, and professional manner. You will undertake fault finding and troubleshooting of electrical, electronics, instrumentation, and communication equipment, ensuring all work areas are maintained in a safe and tidy state.

You will fully support front-line problem-solving investigations and initiatives, leveraging your understanding of PLC programming and fault finding skills. Additionally, you will utilize your experience in troubleshooting electrical breakdowns and determining root causes in a heavy industry manufacturing environment.

Your responsibilities will also include managing competing deadlines, applying sound judgement, and maintaining excellent communication skills and computer aptitude. A post-trade accreditation (Cert IV) is highly regarded, and EWP – advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete assigned repair and preventative maintenance work orders
  • Undertake fault finding and troubleshooting of electrical, electronics, instrumentation, and communication equipment
  • Maintain all work areas in a safe and tidy state
  • Support front-line problem-solving investigations and initiatives
Requirements:
  • Electrical Trade qualification and current electrical A-grade license
  • Understanding of PLC programming and fault finding
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical breakdowns and determining root causes in a heavy industry manufacturing environment
  • Ability to apply sound judgement and manage competing deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and computer aptitude
