Senior Investment Analyst Position

This role involves providing critical advice and assurance to leadership teams regarding investment decisions. Key responsibilities include advising on the viability of proposals, collaborating with stakeholders to develop comprehensive investment plans, and providing assurance to external agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise and assure leadership on the viability of investment proposals, ensuring alignment with commercial management objectives.
  • Collaborate with executives, business managers, and stakeholders to develop comprehensive investment proposals.
  • Provide assurance to external agencies, including regulatory bodies, regarding the prudency and efficiency of investment decisions.
  • Support the Post Implementation Review and Benefits Management processes, partnering with portfolio and business leads to integrate lessons learned and maximize benefits realization.
  • Conduct trend analysis and reporting to the Executive and stakeholders, highlighting assurance findings across the capital program.
  • Exercise independent thinking to influence and constructively challenge stakeholders on investment proposals, ensuring optimal risk management and customer value.

Essential Criteria:

  • You must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident at the time of application.

Qualifications:

  • A relevant degree qualification (e.g. engineering, IT, procurement, accounting, economics, business, science) is required for this position.

Experience & Skills:

  • Experience working in analytical roles in finance, commerce, engineering or business is necessary for success in this role.
  • Knowledge of regulatory business practices, including pricing processes and capital project accounting, is highly regarded.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a proven ability to successfully resolve complex issues are essential.
  • Navigate conflicting priorities and clearly communicate with diverse stakeholder groups.
