
Community Safety Partnerships Specialist

We are seeking a professional to lead the delivery of our Community Safety Plan, driving initiatives that respond to current and emerging safety issues.
- Lead the implementation of evidence-based programmes and events that promote community safety and well-being.
- Utilize research and analytical skills to measure and report on the impact of these initiatives.
- Strengthen partnerships with local stakeholders by providing expert advice and recommendations.
- Contribute to broader Council initiatives that enhance community safety and well-being.
- Influence future planning and investment through evidence-based recommendations.
This is a permanent part-time position working 4 days per week.
About YouTo thrive in this role, you'll bring proven experience in community safety, social policy or programme delivery, with relevant tertiary qualifications in social sciences, public policy, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of local government frameworks and ability to translate policy into practical outcomes.
- Excellent research, analysis, evaluation and report-writing skills.
- Natural communicator and relationship builder, capable of fostering strong partnerships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Commitment to social justice and equity, with experience delivering inclusive community programmes.
- Sound understanding of Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) principles.
