About the Role

The Department of Veterans' Affairs is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Veteran Support Officer - Operations to join our team. As a key member of our Transition Branch, you will play a critical role in supporting veterans and their families with contemporary transition supports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a national Veteran Support Officer (VSO) team to ensure the reputation of DVA remains of good standing.
  • Collaborate with Team Leaders to complete directed tasks and ensure DVA's business targets are met.
  • Work closely with external support elements to assist with progressing a member's DVA business, as well as processing areas within DVA.
  • Provide outreach services to a variety of locations, including Defence bases, industry employers, Ex-Service Organisations, and regional communities of identified need.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work from various outreach sites to achieve operational service delivery requirements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
