Job Title: Home Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate home support specialist to provide personalized care and assistance to individuals who require help with their daily living activities.

The right candidate will be responsible for providing emotional support, companionship, and performing various tasks to ensure the client's safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients with personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
  • Help clients with mobility by transferring them from their bed to a wheelchair or vice versa
  • Administer medication as prescribed by a healthcare professional
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and pulse rate
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding
  • Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing
  • Accompany clients to appointments, social events, and other activities
Requirements:
  • Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or caregiving role preferred
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Working Conditions:

May work in a variety of settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and private residences

May involve standing or walking for extended periods, lifting or moving clients

May require working evenings, weekends, and holidays
