About the Role:
The VCE Coordinator plays a pivotal role in both teaching and management at Acknowledge Education, ensuring the effective delivery of the VCE in alignment with the standards set by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA). This middle leadership position, reporting directly to the Director of Studies, is integral to our educational strategy and operational success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing VASS operations.
- Oversee the daily coordination and enhancement of the VCE program.
- Conduct academic reporting, establish communication, and provide course guidance to students and their guardians.
- Offer academic and professional mentorship to staff through engaging discussions and effective instruction of the VCE curriculum.
- Contribute to the development of VCE timetables.
- Manage student behavior effectively.
About You:
- VIT registration is essential for this position.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering and managing the VCE.
- In-depth understanding of current curriculum trends within the VCE framework.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Post-graduate qualifications in educational management or leadership (Desirable).
- Active participation in professional educational communities (Desirable).
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organizational skills with a talent for motivating staff and advising students.
- A dedicated approach to professional development and learning.
- A vibrant personality with a commitment to student wellbeing and pastoral care.
- Interest in ongoing professional growth.
- Desire to teach Maths/Physics.
- A valid Working with Children Check is required for this role. If successfully hired, you must obtain a check, which will be reimbursed by Acknowledge Education. Current VIT Provisional Registration or Teacher Registration negates the need for a separate WWCC.
