Job Summary

We are seeking skilled Painting Trades Workers to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. Our ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail and dedication, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results in the painting industry.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Set up scaffolding and ladders, and place drop sheets to protect adjacent areas from paint splattering.
  2. Remove old paint and wallpaper, fix woodwork, fill holes and cracks, and smooth and seal surfaces to prepare for new finishes.
  3. Perform sandblasting and spray painting tasks as needed.
  4. Select and prepare paints to required colors by mixing portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying additives.
  5. Hang wallpaper, match patterns, and trim edges to ensure a professional finish.
  6. Clean equipment and work areas to maintain a safe and organized workspace.

Requirements:

  • AQF Certificate III, including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3)
  • OR at least three years of relevant experience
  • Strong attention to detail and dedication
