About the Role

The Automotive Diagnostician will provide technical assistance to professional automotive technicians throughout the United States and Canada. This includes electrical and communication system diagnostic testing procedures, drivability troubleshooting, comfort, and climate system repairs, ADAS calibration procedures, DTC testing steps, mechanical component repair, and more.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance to professional automotive technicians
  • Develop diagnostic strategies to fix vehicles quickly, accurately, and efficiently
  • Document calls and repairs in a clear and concise manner
  • Operate and explain the operation and use of popular aftermarket scan tools
  • Use technology to quickly reach out for team assistance when a diagnostic solution is not readily available
  • Author diagnostic procedures in a manner consistent with company quality and quantity standards

Requirements

  • 2-year automotive degree or experience equivalent
  • ASE master certification
  • 10 years of GM automotive repair experience in a professional facility
  • Factory training or certifications

Skills and Qualifications

  • Competent usage of computer equipment and office software products
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to navigate and efficiently use automotive factory repair website software platforms
  • Comprehensive knowledge of lab-scope operation and waveform identification
