This comprehensive program is designed to enhance your clinical expertise, expand your skills, and support your career progression. Through this enriching experience, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of specialty areas, including Renal care, Colorectal and General Surgery, General Medicine, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Rehabilitation, Endoscopy, and Neurology.

  • The program includes supernumerary orientation within each ward rotation, allowing you to gain hands-on experience and develop your confidence in a variety of clinical settings.
  • As part of this program, you will also participate in four Enrolled Nurse-specific education days, which will provide you with valuable knowledge and skills to enhance your practice.
  • Throughout the program, you will be supported by a Clinical Nurse Educator who will guide and mentor you throughout your journey.

Upon completion of the program, you will be well-equipped to take on permanent full-time positions within our organization. You will have opportunities to work in John Hunter Hospital Medical Interventional Services, Surgical Services, and The Maitland Hospital (Ward 5D only).
