Aerospace Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Description:
As a key member of our LRQA team, you will be responsible for leading complex business assurance assessments and providing recommendations for certification, deferral, suspension, withdrawal of certification, validation or verification against appropriate standards and schemes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake business assurance assessments in accordance with current procedures, within your authorized area of specialism.
- Lead multi-disciplinary and/or international assessment teams effectively, ensuring timely completion and coordinating team findings.
- Produce high-quality assessment reports, reflecting business assurance principles, in compliance with accreditation requirements and internal procedures.
- Develop and maintain broad knowledge of LRQA's products and services to discuss additional services with clients and promote higher value offerings.
- Ensure internal stakeholders are informed of changes and issues, escalating as necessary.
- Identify opportunities and sales leads, passing them to appropriate colleagues.
- Maintain professional competence by staying updated on technical developments, maintaining CPD records, and updating your professional registrations.
- Supervise new auditor inductions, coaching, and knowledge transfer.
- Coach auditors under training, recommending authorizations and further development activities.
- Participate in auditor meetings, developing materials, presenting, and coaching others.
Requirements:
- Aerospace auditor qualifications.
- Thorough understanding of management systems/scheme requirements and their application via a business assurance approach.
- Qualified to audit against more than one major standard, sector scheme, or a qualified MS Trainer ISO/ISO.
- Understanding/appreciation of relevant legal/regulatory framework.
- Substantial experience in third-party auditing/assessment, including system and process level auditing.
- Understanding of client management principles and their application within the role.
- Experience in developing and managing complex technical projects.
- Appreciation of LRQA's full range of products and services.
- A degree (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant subject.
- Competent in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
