About the Role: The Engineering Manager for the Commercial Team will lead a team of engineers responsible for the development, customization, and deployment of advanced electronic solutions.
About You: To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, Electronics, or related field. CPEng / RPEng and RPEQ are highly regarded.
- A minimum of 7-10 years in electronics engineering, with at least 3-5 years in a management role. Experience in power electronics and commercial electronic products is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, mentor, and lead a team of engineers, promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the end-to-end project lifecycle, from concept to delivery, ensuring timely execution, resource allocation, and meeting project milestones.
- Provide expert guidance in advanced electronics design, power solutions, and product development. Collaborate with R&D, sales, and product teams to optimize design for manufacturability and performance.
- Develop and refine engineering processes to improve efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.
- Serve as a key technical advisor to customers, providing timely responses and maintaining strong relationships.
- Identify opportunities for product and process improvements and foster relationships with key clients to drive business growth.
- Drive product innovation and continuous improvement initiatives. Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor products.
- Monitor and manage engineering budgets, ensuring cost-effective designs while maintaining quality and performance.
- Engage with suppliers to ensure component quality, timely delivery, and cost efficiency. Work on new materials and technologies that align with Delta's sustainability goals.
