Job Overview: Hype DC, a leading premium sneaker retailer, seeks a skilled Merchandise Planner to drive sales performance and inventory management. About the Role: As a key member of our merchandise planning team, you will play a crucial role in monitoring sales trends, developing and maintaining optimal inventory levels, and generating accurate sales forecasts. Your expertise will directly influence our merchandising decisions and overall business success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Market Analysis: Monitor sales trends and product performance to inform planning and forecasting decisions.
  • Inventory Optimization: Develop and maintain optimal inventory levels to maximize sales and minimize markdowns.
  • Forecasting: Utilize historical data and market insights to generate accurate sales forecasts and plan inventory replenishment.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on sales performance, inventory turnover, and other key metrics to support strategic decision-making.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with buying, marketing, and retail operations teams to ensure seamless execution of the brand strategy.

Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in merchandise planning or inventory management, preferably in retail or fashion.
  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant qualification in Business, Merchandising, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and experience with planning software.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Passion for footwear and streetwear culture.
