We are seeking a skilled and experienced Culinary Leader to join our team at Bracken House Aged Care Facility. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented chef to lead and manage the Food Services Team, planning, preparing, cooking, and presenting a variety of meals that meet the dietary needs, preferences, and cultural requirements of residents.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all food services operations comply with relevant legislative and statutory requirements, possess excellent communication and leadership skills to motivate and supervise staff, and have the ability to develop and implement menu planning and food ordering systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement menus that cater to the diverse needs of residents
- Lead and manage the Food Services Team, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality meal preparation
- Maintain accurate records of food ordering, stock control, and budget management
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations
- Develop and implement effective menu planning and food ordering systems
Requirements:
- Certificate IV in Kitchen Management (SIT40521) or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (SIT40516), or an equivalent qualification
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Chef or Cook Manager, preferably within an aged care or similar environment
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate, in line with NSW Food Authority requirements
- Demonstrated working knowledge of HACCP & Food Safety legislative requirements
- Ability to monitor and supervise staff performance and development
