Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Consultant Anaesthetist to join our team at the Mackay Base Hospital.

  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical services as part of the Unit/Department.
  • You will also be involved in education and training of medical staff, students, Allied Health, interested community groups and nursing staff.
  • This role requires after-hours and weekend clinical duties as rostered.

Our department provides anaesthesia for various procedures and supports the trauma and cardiac arrest teams.

The hospital is an accredited training facility equipped with leading-edge technology.

Requirements
  • Affiliate or Fellowship of the Australia and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) or equivalent qualifications are required.
  • Applicants must be registered (or eligible for registration) as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia.
