Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Senior Solutions Engineer to join our team. This role involves providing pre-sales technical support for the development and implementation of complex products/applications/solutions.

The successful candidate will utilise their technical expertise to address customers' technical needs and deliver successful business results.

  • Techical Expertise: Utilise in-depth product knowledge to provide technical expertise to sales staff and the customer through sales presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Sales Support: Assist the sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and may prepare detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer products/applications/solutions.
  • Product Design: Create detailed design and implementation specifications for complex products/applications/solutions.
  • Rapid Prototyping: Build a mini-application based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid prototyping and/or product demo for client.
Key Responsibilities
  • Storage Solutions: Designing tailored storage technology solutions to address unique customer challenges.
  • Presentation Skills: Conveying the advantages of NetApp storage solutions through presentations, demonstrations, and discussions.
  • System Architecture: Designing and architecting on-premise or hybrid storage systems (knowledge of NAS, SAN, and Object Storage is required).
  • Data Management: Developing storage infrastructure and data management solutions for enterprise applications, also in the context of Cloud Services.
  • Vendor Ecosystem: Providing deep insights into Storage and Data Management vendor ecosystem, and having had prior experience on backup solutions.
  • ROI/TCO Overview: Creating ROI/TCO overview and competitive advantages of solution offerings.
  • Customer Opportunities: Collaborate with client executives and partner sales to create strategies for developing customer opportunities related to storage solutions.
Requirements
  • Technical Specifications: At least 8 years of experience and expertise in technical specifications on storage products and services.
  • Australian Citizenship: Australian Citizenship is mandatory, and NV1 or higher security clearance is preferred.
  • Experience: Prior experience working in capacity of Sales Engineering, Solutions Architect, or Solutions Engineering on storage technologies.
  • Influence and Decision-making: Ability to operate as Subject-Matter-Expert (SME) and influence Sales team, driving initiatives, and act as a Decision-maker on Projects.
  • Cloud and Storage: Experience working with the products of EMC, HDS, HPE, IBM, VMware, or PureStorage.
  • Knowledge: Prior knowledge in Cloud, Storage, AI/ML, Database, Microservice, Enterprise Application, or DevOps is advantageous.
  • Docker/Kubernetes: Interested and/or possess relevant knowledge with Docker/Container & Kubernetes (K8S) platform.
  • Hybrid Multi-cloud: Interested and/or possess relevant knowledge for hybrid multi-cloud technologies, AI Platform.
