The English Faculty is seeking a dedicated and experienced educator to join their team as a VCE English Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate professional to contribute to the growth and development of students in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic teacher to deliver high-quality instruction in VCE English, fostering a love of learning and promoting academic excellence. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the new VCE English curriculum and be committed to implementing innovative teaching strategies that cater to diverse learner needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A Bachelor of Education or a postgraduate teaching degree (Master of Teaching)
  • A minimum of 10 years of teaching experience with at least 3 years of VCE English teaching experience
  • A commitment to a concept-driven, structured-inquiry approach to teaching
  • A firm knowledge of the new VCE English curriculum
  • Current teacher registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching
  • A sound understanding of the Child Safe Standards and a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children, holding a current WWC check
  • A Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one within six months of employment
