Early Childhood Development Coordinator Position

We are a leading provider of early childhood services, dedicated to supporting children and families in Northern NSW, Mid North Coast, Hunter New England, Northern Sydney, and Western Sydney.
Role OverviewThis role is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Early Childhood Coordinator to join our team. As an Early Childhood Coordinator, you will play a critical part in delivering our NDIS Early Childhood Approach (ECA) service.
Key Responsibilities- You will support families with concerns about their child's development by using your knowledge of 0-9 years developmental milestones, completing observations, and analyzing information from screening tools and assessments.
- You will identify and explain the most suitable pathway of supports, whether it be access to early interventions or assistance with applying for the NDIS.
- You will work with families to connect them with local mainstream and community services, such as community or child health services, playgroups, childcare, parent support groups, education options, and recreation.
- You will collaborate with families to determine their goals and priorities for their child.
- You will assist families with implementing their child's NDIS plan and finding service providers that meet the needs of the child and family.
- You must have a minimum Diploma tertiary qualification in Early Childhood Education or a Bachelor Degree in Social Work, Allied Health, or another relevant professional field.
- You should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- You must have experience providing support to families using a family-focused and strengths-based approach.
- You should have demonstrated experience supporting and implementing evidence-based early childhood intervention strategies with families using a capacity-building approach.
- You should have experience working collaboratively with mainstream and community stakeholders to achieve best outcomes for children and families.
- You will receive a salary range of AU$65,000 - AU$85,000 per annum, depending on experience.
- You will enjoy flexible working conditions, including part-time and full-time roles, flexible working hours between 7:30am – 5:30pm, and up to 3 WFH days for full-time staff.

The role will be based out of our Maitland office, covering the local region, which involves some travel to meet children and families in their community and home environment.
