Environmental Stormwater Management Specialist

About the Role
As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the City's success by overseeing the assessment of statutory permit applications and providing exceptional customer service related to the Urban Drainage Act 2013.
This position involves leading a cohesive team of engineers and technical officers, ensuring timely reviews and responses to applications. Close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders is crucial for a comprehensive and efficient assessment process.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the assessment of statutory permit applications;
- Providing professional advice and guidance regarding planning and development of stormwater assets;
- Coordinating waterways services program and stormwater customer service initiatives;
- Leading the financial allocation associated with the Waterways Services Program;
- Mentoring and supporting team members to achieve their full potential.
About You
The successful candidate will have a degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or a related field) and extensive experience in assessing planning, building, and plumbing applications.
You will be familiar with catchment management plans, able to interpret hydraulic, hydrological, and water quality assessments, and knowledgeable about statutory permit applications.
A demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and support team members is essential for this role.
