Job Description

As a consultant in preschool inclusion, you will work with preschools across the northern Illawarra to develop and implement strategies for children with disabilities and additional needs.

You will travel to different locations, working part-time (16 hours) with flexibility in days. This is a blended role that allows you to work from home and interact with colleagues and clients across various settings.

Program Overview

The NSW Department of Education has contracted KU Children's Services to deliver the Preschool Disability and Inclusion Program to preschools in the northern Illawarra region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement inclusive practice strategies for preschool educators.
  • Coach and mentor educators to improve their skills and knowledge in working with children with disabilities.
  • Collaborate with preschools to reflect on their program and environment, identifying areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Degree in Early Childhood Education or above.
  • Experience working in early childhood services, including children with disabilities.
  • Advanced understanding of child development and adult learning principles.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in working with diverse stakeholders.
