Senior Data Solutions Expert

We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as a Senior Data Solutions Expert.


Job Overview:">
  • Design, implement and deliver complex data governance projects for customers using Actian solutions in mission-critical settings.
  • Solve database, integration and analytics problems with a sense of urgency balanced with diligence.
  • Implement solutions to utilize Actian products to support customer needs and goals.
  • Follow and maintain support policies, procedures, processes and best practices.
  • Work with customers and internal teams on project planning, design review efforts, testing activities and installations.
  • Maintain current skills related to Actian products and standard industry tools, technologies and best practices.
  • Create presentations for technical and non-technical audiences, identifying lessons learned, best practices and information gained during tasks.
">Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience with data discovery and catalog tools such as Zeenea, Collibra, Alation or others.
  • Knowledge of integration tools like Informatica, Boomi, Talend, DataConnect, DataFlow or IBM Datastage/Transformation Extender.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one database server, such as Ingres, Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL or Informix.
  • Knowledge of business analytics applications (Tableau, PowerBI), support and troubleshooting concepts.
  • Proficient in designing and developing applications that use databases.
  • Experience designing and implementing solutions of various levels of complexity and integration with other products in a production environment.
  • Experience working with JSON, XML, EDI and other data formats.
  • Good understanding of SQL queries and scripts.
  • The ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet critical deadlines.
  • Knowledge of security systems, authentication, authorization and access control systems in operating systems.
  • Knowledge of multinational character sets and Unicode.
