NWAMHS Quality Improvement Consultant

The Quality Improvement Consultant will contribute to the processes that guide the area mental health service towards continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, clinical targets, and key performance indicators in service planning, management, and delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate quality and accreditation processes under the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
- Develop and implement a program of quality and performance improvement activities across NWAMHS, monitoring its effectiveness and relevance.
- Actively promote the direction of quality improvement programs and foster a culture of quality and safety within NWAMHS, emphasizing consumer and carer-focused services and outcomes.
- Maintain an understanding of individual responsibility for patient safety, quality, and risk, contributing to organisational quality and safety initiatives.
- Follow organisational safety, quality, and risk policies and procedures.
- Maintain a safe working environment for yourself, colleagues, and members of the public.
- Promote and participate in evaluation and continuous improvement processes.
- Comply with principles of Patient-Centred Care.
- Comply with Northern Health's mandatory continuing professional development requirements.
- Comply with requirements of National Safety & Quality Health Service Standards and other relevant regulatory requirements.
