Support Leader

The successful applicant will work across the school to implement a whole-school approach to mental health and wellbeing for students, staff, and families.
- Developing strategies to build the capacity of school staff to identify and support students with mental health concerns in the classroom
- Coordinating targeted mental health support for students by working with regional staff, school wellbeing and leadership teams, teachers, parents/carers, and external agencies
The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of the needs of the school community and be able to influence and negotiate with stakeholders to gain buy-in and ownership for ideas. They will also be able to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with students, parents, other employees, and the broader school community.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement processes to support student mental health and wellbeing
- Collaborate with school staff to develop and deliver professional development opportunities
- Establish and maintain partnerships with external agencies to access additional resources and support
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to promote positive mental health and wellbeing outcomes
