Job Title: Kiosk Attendant

Kiosk attendants are customer service professionals who work in cafes and other food establishments. Their primary role is to deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring that every patron feels welcome and valued.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service to all customers, responding promptly to their queries and resolving any issues efficiently.
  • Maintain the appearance and presentation of the cafe, adhering to health and safety guidelines and maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Replenish condiments and supplies as needed, managing inventory levels to minimize waste and ensure seamless operations.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines, including proper food handling and preparation techniques, to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Take orders and handle cash transactions, accurately processing payments and providing change when necessary.
  • Promote centers services and programs to patrons, developing and maintaining good working relationships with regular customers.
  • Develop and maintain flexible scheduling, working mornings, evenings, and weekends, with hours increasing during peak periods.

Required Skills and Attributes:

  • Positive, friendly, helpful, and energetic work style, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Coffee making/barista skills, with experience in operating commercial coffee machines and preparing specialty drinks.
  • Food handling certificate, demonstrating knowledge of safe food handling practices and procedures.
  • Current First Aid Certificate (Workplace Level 2), ensuring the ability to respond to medical emergencies and provide basic life support.
  • Current CPR Certificate, demonstrating proficiency in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and defibrillation techniques.
  • Current Food Handlers Qualification, showcasing expertise in food preparation, cooking, and serving.
  • Police Check, verifying a clear employment history and absence of any criminal convictions.
  • Working with Children Check, confirming suitability for working with children and vulnerable populations.
  • Ability to be flexible during centre's peak periods, adapting to changing demands and priorities.
  • Availability Saturdays and Sundays, willing to work varied shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings.
